I’ve got a fever…
… And the only prescription is Arkham Horror.
Recently I’ve (finally) gotten around to starting H.P. Lovecraft’s short stories, and of course I began with The Call of Cthulhu. I loved it, and can’t wait to continue reading the stories of the Cthulhu mythos, but reading this has also awakened my insatiable craving that happens a few times a year to play Arkham Horror.
Despite the fact that it is incredibly complicated and unforgivingly difficult, Arkham Horror has been, since the first time I played it, my favorite board game I’ve ever played. It’s one of those games that you can’t play all the time, though. It’s too long and too complex to be a frequent staple of gaming sessions, but oh, is it rewarding.
TL;DR - NEED MOAR ARKHAM HORROR!!!!!

[I//E] - I generally try to read The Lord of the Rings once a year. I can totally relate to this.My dad used to read me The Hobbit when I was little. It made me become passionate about reading and has opened me up to so many new worlds, ideas, and people. I reread it at least once a year so that I never forget who I’ve become because of the magic of Tolkien.
Getting ready for a 5-player game of Small World + all race/power expansions. (Taken with instagram)
Edit: Ended up with four players instead. We played 3 games and I pulled a hat trick. Yeah that’s a sports reference. Don’t get used to it.
